(for ages six and up)
Our voice teachers primarily focus on popular music. If you have always wanted to be a better rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel or R&B singer, then we have the right voice teachers for you. Voice students spend time each week doing physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, vibrato, tone production, enunciation and more. All voice students set goals with their teacher to work on sounding like their favorite recording artists, or if they prefer, to develop their own unique voice. We not only teach singers, but also local TV and radio personalities who want to enhance their speaking voices.

Our guitar teachers teach rock, blues, metal, country and classical guitar lessons on electric and acoustic guitars. Beginner students can expect to work on chords, simple songs and melodies, sight reading and theory. We balance musicianship and fun by making sure that each lesson you are challenged with a new technical or theory concept, but always end with something fun such as your favorite riff or song. We use a variety of guitar method books to accomplish this and encourage students to bring CDs or their iPod to their lesson to learn their favorite tunes. Sign up today by calling 559-222-7464 or e-mail by clicking here

Although a fiddle and a violin are technically the same instrument, the approach and method with which they are played is different. Less a classical style and more of a style you would find in Mumford and Sons, the fiddle is the accompanment instrument for contemporary bands, country music, folk, bluegrass and many others.

The Mandolin, with it's high registry is used similarly to the fiddle. Did you know that the violin and the mandolin share the same tuning? Once you become proficient with one, you are ready to tackle another.  Our instructor will take you through the technique and exercise needed to get you on track.

What do I need for my lessons?

Binder, recording device such as ipod, phone or laptop* , water. pencil

*Some teachers have recording options available

How much practice time do I need?

We recommend 15 to 30 minutes of practice per day for beginners and 30 to 45 minutes for more advanced students. Don't forget to warm up first! The more consistently you practice the sooner you will see results.

Can my parents watch the lesson?

It has been our experience that kids do better if the parents aren't in the same room. While this is not a requirement, it is strongly suggested. We have a very comfortable waiting room just outside the lesson area so you can hear the lesson without the child feeling the pressure of your presence.
