Noah Yanicki is recent Master’s graduate from the University of California: Los Angeles, studying under Christopher Hanulik. He received his Bachelor’s in Music Performance from SUNY University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York, his hometown. Noah has been a member of the American Youth Symphony for the past two years and has attended Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddling School, Montecito International Music Festival, and Eastern Music Festival. He has also been awarded the Mimi Alpert Feldman Scholarship for musical excellence.
Noah is currently engaged in several collaborations, including a violin and bass duo, a banjo and bass duo, and writing music for solo bass, with plans to record in the near future. His interests include composition and the incorporation of different instrumental styles into bass playing, which currently includes the music of Edgar Meyer, fiddle tunes, as well as meticulous study of the Suites for Solo Violoncello.
